Integration of all airspace users is (broadly, but not exclusively, think spacecraft!) the integration of drones. Below are the regulator’s publications on the two ways that drones can join the wider airspace and not just be constrained to ‘Visual Line of Sight’ eg. a cone of maximum 120m height, and 500m radius.
1: CAP3038: Delivering Scalable UAS BVLOS in the Specific Category
Issued by the Civil Aviation Authority for all aspects of the strategy for delivering Beyond Visual Line of Sight drone operations, in the ‘Specific’ category, at scale.
2: CAP3040: Unmanned Aircraft Operations in an Atypical Air Environment
Issued by the Civil Aviation Authority for all aspects of drone operations in ‘Atypical Airspace Environments’ (ATE), which is an undefined term, but broadly infers flying in close proximity to (linear) assets and similar objects, in an environment with a very low likelihood of encountering other airspace users.
